Meme's Consignment Guide

1. Make an Appointment

• We accept consignments by appointment only every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and some Saturdays 11a - 2p.  Please call 910-814-2574 early to get your preferred day.

2. Read and Follow Consignment Guidelines

• You may bring up to 35 items, but a minimum of 5 accepted items are needed to become a consignor.  Acceptable items must follow our preparation guidelines.

  We accept seasonal clothing and accessories on the following dates:
  Spring/Summer ------ March 30 - September 1
  Fall/Winter ------ October 1 - March 1
  Holiday  ------ November 1 - December 5

3. Prepare Your Clothing and Accessories for Consignment

• Inspect clothing and accessories well at home for spots, lint, broken zippers, missing buttons, pet hair, moth holes, or odors (perfume or tobacco).
• Clothing must be freshly cleaned, pressed and on hangers in “Ready to Sell” condition.  After acceptance, we will return your hangers.
• Remove all dry cleaning tags and plastic.
• You will be charged $1 per item for garments left requiring steaming or de-linting.

4. Bring Ready-To-Sell Clothing and Accessories to Scheduled appointment

• We will select which of your items we can accept on consignment. Please do not be offended if we say “No Thanks” to any of your items.  Our customers’ preferences must be our guideline.

5. Reap the Benefits

• Meme’s on Main Street sets the selling price. Consignors receive 50% of the contracted price.
• Items are kept for a minimum of 60 days and marked down two times (25%, 50%) during the consignment period.

If you wish to reclaim your unsold items, you may do so during the designated dates on your contract. You may not pull your own items from the sales floor.  After the 60 day contract has expired, any merchandise remaining in the store for 5 days from the date of pickup, will  automatically become the property of Meme’s on Main Street, and may be sold or donated. !!
